Instructional Planning Guides: Grade 5

Students view themselves as readers, learn how to prepare for CSAP reading and writing test-taking, and study what good readers and writers do. Students also study fiction, nonfiction, poetry, essay and narrative writing, and research and report writing. In the final unit, students do an author study and write a literary essay.
