Online Tools
- The Induction Check tool allows you to check the data in our database about your progress in the New Teacher Induction Program.
- Curriculum Matrices, created by Denver Public School teachers, are a great resource to learn how what is taught in DPS relates to state standards.
- The Professional Development section is a great area to learn about all professional development offered by the Teaching and Learning Department and provides links to other pages and departments. Although we offer two-hour professional development sessions designed specifically for new teachers, new teachers are welcome to attend any professional development session they wish.
- The Online Employee Phone Directory offers a way to look up contact information of anyone who works at DPS.

Denver Public Schools does not administer teacher licensing, so it is a good idea for new teachers to understand how licensing works
by looking at the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Web site. For example, after three years of teaching, a teacher with a provisional licence is required to apply for their professional teaching license. New teachers can download applications from the CDE applications Web site to learn more.
