TIR Information The Teacher-in-Residence program is an alternative method for individuals who already have a bachelor degree to achieve licensure as a teacher in the state of Colorado. Because TIRs are in a two-year program that combines college coursework and DPS Induction, the calendar for completing the components of Induction is slightly different. This page provides a quick reference list of when TIRs accomplish the components of Induction during their two-year TIR program. For additional questions about the TIR program, contact:

This basic timeline tells you when you complete what in the TIR program. By following this general schedule, you will complete your college coursework and Denver Public Schools Induction program, both of which are required to be recommended to the State of Colorado for professional licensure.
