Denver Public Schools supports comprehensive arts education as a part of The Denver Plan. We believe that through the arts, we stimulate learning, creativity, and analytical capabilities that help our students achieve their full potential.

“We are moving from an economy and a society built on the logical, linear, computer-like capabilities of the information age to an economy and a society built on the inventive, emphatic, big picture capabilities of what’s rising in its place, the Conceptual Age.”

Daniel Pink, A Whole New Mind

“An arts-rich curriculum by which students from pre-school to college not only acquire knowledge and skills in the basic arts disciplines but also apply that understanding to learning in other core subject areas, ultimately will increase their engagement in education.”
