Professional Development

“Our children will learn from highly skilled faculty in every school that is empowered by robust professional development and timely assessment of data.”

The Denver Plan

Throughout the school year, high-quality professional development sessions will be offered, addressing topics that meet arts teachers’ needs across disciplines. The topics will not only increase student arts achievement but will also support content area subjects. District and network professional development will be addressed in three different delivery models:

  • District Summer Arts Institute (August)
  • After-school sessions (September–March)
  • Professional days/planning days (determined by school calendar)
