Welcome to High School US History Course Web Site. The High School US History Course was redesigned and field-tested by teacher leaders at Denver Public Schools during the 2004–2005 school year. During the 2005–2006 school year, the newly redesigned course will be implemented in classrooms by all teachers who teach US History at the high school level.
This course site contains the new curriculum materials such as semester syllabi, unit plans, lesson samples, and assessments documents for the newly redesigned course and is the best place to download the latest versions. Use the links in the Course Links box to navigate to different pages specific to the course. In addition, refer to the What's New list below on an on-going basis to learn about what latest updates are being made.
We invite you to collaborate with us during the 2005–2006 school year based on your ideas and experiences implementing the new curriculum in your classroom. For example, we welcome general feedback to examples of unit lessons you create which are successful in the classroom. Please submit all ideas and examples to gilberto_munoz@dspk12.org.
