Judy MorrI am the CTE program manager. When I started in in 1994, the department was called Vocational Education. The name changed to Career and Technical Education (CTE) several years ago, and this past summer, we became part of the larger Post-Secondary Pathways, CTE, and the Arts Department. CTE supports middle and high school programs in business education, marketing education, family and consumer science, Alternative Cooperative Education (ACE, a work-experience program for students with special needs). My primary job responsibilities are related to compliance with the legal requirements of the Colorado Vocational Act and the Carl D. Perkins Act. I monitor program approvals, program advisory committees, and career and technical credentials for high school teachers. I also assist teachers with career and technical student organization conference/competition activities. I facilitate CTE activities at the high schools through our CTE resource specialists. These activities provide career development opportunities for students. I monitor expenditures from the CTE general fund and the Perkins grant. These responsibilities culminate in three major projects completed annually—an extensive student data report, a CVA financial report, and the Carl Perkins Local Plan/Report. I have a bachelor of arts in technical management from Regis University.
