Kris O'ClairMy career in Denver Public Schools began in 1990 as a third grade bilingual teacher at Westwood Elementary School. All of my experiences and education have culminated in my current role as mathematics intervention coordinator in which I serve as a liaison for the Student Services and Teaching and Learning departments, the network instructional specialists, and our district’s special educators. I have taught kindergarten through fifth grade students in Colorado, Iowa, and Australia. In my undergraduate degree, I majored in elementary education with minors in mathematics and history. My master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado is in special education, emphasis in gifted and talented. I earned my PhD from the University of Denver in Education Administration and Policy Studies. I look forward to supporting Denver’s students, teachers, and parents in standards-based mathematics with differentiation and interventions.
