Maureen Sanders

I serve as the director of the Leadership Development Department and the chief leadership development officer for the Denver Public Schools Leadership Initiative. In this capacity, my major responsibility is to develop the leadership capacity of current K–12 administrators as instructional leaders as well as all aspiring principals to support the Denver Plan. I come from Los Angeles, where I served as the director of the California School Leadership Academy for the largest county in California and provided leadership support for 81 school districts, including Los Angeles Unified School District. As director, I will facilitate, support, and work to establish an exciting compensation system and infrastructure that supports our principals’ and is of the highest quality anywhere in the country.
