Scott Springer

Scott SpringerI am currently the executive director of Post-Secondary Pathways and have served as a DPS educator for the past 23 years. I spent 13 years as an instrumental music teacher at Horace Mann Middle School and East High School. I began my administrative career as an assistant principal at Lake Middle School, followed by a six-year term as assistant principal at the Denver School of the Arts. During my years at the school, its enrollment grew from 600 to 900 students and saw an increase in applications from 300 a year to more than 1,000 a year. The school was ranked as one of the top 10 high schools in the state during my tenure. In 2005, I was selected as principal of the CEC Middle College of Denver. The school demonstrated continual improvement under my leadership, providing numerous first-generation students opportunities to enroll and continue in college coursework. Applications grew from 150 to close to 400 during my two years at the school.  I have been a professional musician for many years in the Denver Metro area, providing me with educational as well as workforce experience.
